Up until this year, Fall Ball was reserved for the elite older players who had an opportunity to extend the season with the Ottawa Knights or the Ottawa-Nepean Canadians by playing for either their 16U or 18U teams. However, with the organization by Andrew Beatty & Paul Villeneuve, this year players 13-15 were offered an opportunity to keep playing when their respective OBA or Little League seasons came to a close. What makes this appealing is that there is no travel and the teams are mixed to be even in strength. The baseball is high caliber even though the coaches recognize that the goal is not winning, but rather to give each player an opportunity to play.
